Community Guidelines
Last Updated: May 27, 2026
Our Community Values
Agnioz exists to serve Catholic parish communities built on faith, charity, and mutual respect. Every interaction on the platform — whether in ministry chat, announcements, or coordination — should reflect the values of the Gospel: dignity, compassion, and service to one another.
These Community Guidelines apply to all users, regardless of role. Parish admins, officers, and members are all equally bound by these standards.
What We Expect
- Respect for all members: Treat every person — regardless of role, background, age, or opinion — with charity and dignity.
- Honest communication: Be truthful in your messages, announcements, and information shared on the platform.
- Ministry-focused use: Use platform features for their intended purpose — coordinating ministries, organizing schedules, and building community.
- Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of other members. Do not share personal details or sensitive parish information outside the platform without authorization.
- Accountability: Take responsibility for your actions and communications on the platform.
What Is Not Allowed
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited on Agnioz:
- Harassment, bullying, and threats: Any content intended to intimidate, demean, bully, or threaten another person.
- Hate speech: Content that attacks individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or other characteristics.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be a priest, parish admin, officer, or any other person to deceive other members.
- Spam and scams: Sending unsolicited messages, promotional content, or deceptive links within the platform.
- Solicitation without authorization: Promoting commercial products, services, or fundraising without explicit parish authorization.
- Sharing confidential parish data: Distributing member lists, contact information, financial data, or other sensitive parish records outside of authorized channels.
- Sharing others' sensitive personal information:Posting or forwarding someone else's private information without their consent.
- Content inappropriate for a faith community: Explicit, violent, or otherwise offensive material that is inconsistent with a Catholic community environment.
Chat and Ministry Discussion Guidelines
- Keep ministry chats focused on ministry-related topics and coordination.
- Avoid off-topic debates, political content, or divisive subjects in ministry channels.
- Announcements and pinned messages should contain accurate, relevant information approved by an officer or admin.
- If you disagree with a decision, raise it respectfully through proper ministry channels — not through public chat.
How to Report Abuse
If you witness or experience a violation of these guidelines, please report it to us at:
Use the subject line “Agnioz Abuse Report” and include as much detail as possible — who was involved, what happened, and when. You may also report to your parish admin directly through the platform.
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines will be addressed according to severity. Our general enforcement approach is:
- Warning: A formal notice that the behavior is in violation and must stop immediately.
- Content removal: Offending messages, files, or posts are removed from the platform.
- Account restriction: Limited access to platform features pending review.
- Parish admin review: The matter is escalated to the parish administrator for community-level action.
- Platform escalation: Severe or repeated violations may result in permanent suspension from Agnioz.
We reserve the right to skip steps for severe violations (e.g., immediate suspension for threats, child safety violations, or illegal activity).
